Bunkbed “Substance Abuse”

Seems like fall and winter are the time for sad pop songs. Keith Krate’s Bunked for me in a lot of ways pioneers this whole genre without people knowing anything about them. Aside from a long out of print with Xiu Xiu, little is known about this band. But when I have asked or looked into them, the story seems tragic  and riddled with depression and drug abuse.

I guess the title of their second album Swimming Back to Shore Without Me says a lot, and the title of my song of the day, rounds out the story.
