I don’t hear a lot of people talk about this band ever. Lost somewhere in confines of gritty bluesy-garage rock, in a lot of ways I feel like the Compulsive Gamblers has a way of seamlessly shifting through balls to the walls rock, murky southern-gunk blues, and in the case of “Your Happiness” fun-yet-gritty pop.
