Billy Bragg “A New England”

My good friend Dustin got me into Billy Bragg. For most people I meet, he’s just that old weird dude who has an album with Wilco. But as soon as I got “Back to Basics” I understood the why he was also chosen to pick up where Woody Guthrie left off.

I saw him open for the Pogues about a year and a half ago and he ended his set with a “A New England” joined by pop princess Kate Nash. I don’t know what to really say about this song except it’s wonderful and pretty, and a little sad.
