I am VERY late on getting to the Replacements. I’ve owned the “Pleased to Meet Me” LP for years, (I got in a trade or something) but never paid too much attention to it. However lately I’ve been looking for good pop-rock music, and not finding much of it. ThenI stumbled on their stuff one bored night.

the Replacements are rocking my world, and the other day this song just killed me. The line about “growing old in a bar” is just so great.
