Casiotone for the Painfully Alone “White Corolla (live on Daytrotter)”
Rarely do I get upset cause a song is so good. Sad thing is that I know Owen (main man behind CTFPA). We’ve had drinks, he even crashed at my place one time he was on tour. The reason I get upset is that I also dabble in electronic music, I also have tried to write songs about heartbreak and socially awkward situations…and they are never as good as this one. Not even close. I’ll write a song that’s fun, and kinda dancy, and lyrics are a little witty, and a little sad….but then I hear a song like “White Corolla” and I’m floored, I’m upset cause it’s so good. So I take that Ableton live file I have, and drag it right over to the trash. It’s done, I’m over it. I’m gonna get a drink.
Not to mention this version is on the Daytrotter session, where he sings the song (a girl sings the recording of it) and its even more wonderful.
